The State Controller’s Office has released the amended claiming instructions and parameters and guidelines for the Peace Officers Procedural Bill of Rights (POBOR) mandate. This claim covers fiscal year 2006-07 and beyond and is due to the State along with all annual claims on January 15th, 2008. Any school districts that employ peace officers are eligible to file a claim for reimbursement
POBOR provides reimbursement for providing procedural protections to peace officers employed by school districts when a peace officer is subject to an interrogation by the employer, is facing punitive action or receives an adverse comment in his or her personnel file.
